Laundry Attendants also receive an additional service fee from between $1.00 and $3.00 more per hour, depending upon guest count. Use of Red Mountain Resort facilities, Team Member Discounts and much more.


 

SUMMARY

The Housekeeping Laundry Attendant maintains a constant supply of clean linens for the resort.  Performs all stages of linen processing, including collecting, transporting, sorting, loading and unloading washers and dryers, folding, storing and delivering.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sort articles
  • Fold place items in appropriate storage areas.
  • Sort torn and stained articles
  • Sort and counts articles to verify quantities and laundry requisition.
  • Soak contaminated articles and process in de-staining cycle.
  • Clean lint traps and sweep laundry rooms.
  • Replenish supplies.
  • Operate laundry machinery such as washers and dryers.
  • Lift clean, wet articles from washer and place successively into driers for measured time cycles.
  • Maintain safety standards of all chemicals used.
  • Turn in all lost and found items to the housekeeping office.
  • Follow established safety procedures.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Red Mountain Gold Star Standards.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • High school diploma or general education degree, one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, to guests and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral or schedule form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS  

  • Valid driver license required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee must be flexible in working evenings, weekends and holidays. 

The employee must be able to comply with department's uniform requirements.
