Deli Attendants also receive an additional service fee from between $1.00 and $3.00 per hour, depending upon guest count.

The Deli Attendant is responsible for facilitating food and beverage service to our guests in an expedient, professional and courteous manner.


  • Collect and set up necessary equipment to perform job (complete opening and closing side-work).
  • Prepare menu items to order according to menu specifications.
  • Serve guests and internal team members in accordance with established standards.
  • Keep work station and service area neat, clean and organized throughout each shift, and ensure that the service area is clean, stocked and prepped for the next shift before leaving.
  • Thorough knowledge of all menu items, as well as the ability to prepare each one in a timely efficient manner.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all Canyon Breeze food and beverage menus and daily specials.  Be prepared to answer guests' questions.
  • Act as cashier using a cash bank for guests.
  • Ensure that salad bar is set up in a timely manner, properly maintained during lunch service and broken down at close of business.
  • Communicate deli order needs to Dining Room Manager or Chef, requisition and transfer product as needed, following established procedures for each transaction.
  • Properly handle all equipment and supplies (i.e. china, glass and silver).
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Red Mountain Gold Star Standards.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • High school diploma or general education degree; one to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to apply common sense while carrying out written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Ability to accurately open and close cash drawer and follow company procedures.
  • Proficiency in both manual cash register and point of sale systems.
  • Have complete knowledge and understanding of all Canyon Breeze food, beverage, wine service/list, liquor laws and daily specials.
  • Knowledge of health & sanitation policies, proper handling of equipment and supplies (i.e. china, glass and silver) and observe all safety procedures during execution of assigned duties.
  • Excellent customer service skills.


  • Food Handler's Permit required within 30 days from date of hire. 
  • If age 21 or higher, must have or be able to obtain T.I.P.S. or S.M.A.R.T. certification and food handler's certification.

The employee must be able to spend entire shift on his/her feet.  

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.   

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The employee must be flexible in working evenings, weekends and holidays; employee must be able to comply with department's uniform requirements.
