Guest Advocates receive an additional service fee from between $1.00 and $3.00 more per hour, depending upon guest count.


Assist guests with their arrival and departure experience by performing the following duties: 


  • Assist guests with registration and orientation, guest folios, and off property amenities or other requests.
  • Greet guests, answer any guest questions and solve guest problems.
  • Assist guests with the check-out process and resolve billing issues.
  • Perform general office duties as required.
  • Contact appropriate departments with any special needs or requests from guests and any complaints specific to their department.
  • Ability to perform night audit reports when necessary.
  • Assemble and print all documents relative to arrival, departure and room status.
  • Ability to make reservations and "walk" guests in.
  • Update sign up sheets and collect fees for special events.
  • Assist guests with any questions relating to activities.
  • Answer, screen and route all outside and inside calls.
  • Perform general office duties as required.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Red Mountain Gold Star Standards.
  • Other duties as may be assignedAssist with guest fax and computer hookups and retrieve phone messages and room changes or upgrades when Manager is unavailable.
  • Knowledge of other departments, managers and operations to address guest questions or assist in resolving any conflicts.Print sign up sheets for the books, order schedules and maps and inventory office supplies for department.
  • Confer and coordinate meeting room schedules, airport pick ups and VIP requests..Confer and cooperate with other department to ensure coordination of activities.
  • Trained in registration and orientation processes and guest folios to serve as back-up if needed.
  • Review schedules and orientation information for any changes.
  • Advise guests of available activities.
  • Research revenue opportunities for guest gifts, flowers, tickets, transportation, etc.

  • One year certification from college or technical school; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions and percentages, by applying concepts of basic math. Ability to follow procedures relative to running the business through budgets, purchase orders, etc.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with various computer software programs (Word, Excel, Outlook). 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in written and oral form, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work with confidential information.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with multiple situations with little supervision.


  • Valid driver license required. 
  • Background check required.
